when miley was a baby/toddler, she smiled a lot. so her dad, billy ray cyrus, called her 'smiley'. he got rid of the letter 's' from smiley, and named her Miley. her middle name is Destiny. she was born on Nov. 23,1992 in Nashville Tennesse. Miley's mom's name is Leticia Finley. Miley has five siblings: Christopher, Braison Chance, Noah Lindsey, Brandy and Trace. her hobbies & interests are riding horses, writing music, playing guitar, dancing, cheerleading, shopping. In 2006 her family moved to Los Angeles and after many interviews and call-backs she received her break-out role as Hannah Montana/Miley Stewart in the Disney Channel hit Hannah Montana. The show has been a big hit for Disney.
