johnny depp as everyone knows played as willie wonka in his 2006 movie. he was born on June 9, 1963. he's from Owensboro, Kentucky. his birth name is John Christopher Depp III. after his parents divorced when he was 16, he dropped out of high school, and then became an actor. he was born in Kentucky but he was raised in Florida. He made his film debut in A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). In 1987 he shot to stardom when he replaced Jeff Yagher in the role of undercover cop Tommy Hanson in the popular TV series "21 Jump Street" (1987).
